Rustic Mountain Lodge Retreat

Breath of Heaven is a beautiful 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin home located in a luxury gated community in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia. Spanning 2,400 square feet, the mountain retreat boasts southern views of the Blue Ridge Mountains across the infamous Aska Adventure Area in Blue Ridge, GA. Starting with a completely-blank canvas, we took Inspiration from the Breath of God that regularly rests upon the breath-taking, panoramic mountain views (a take, if you will, on the infamous song by Amy Grant which was also Inspired by her time at a retreat cabin). We did it all from the “studs-out” including appliances, countertops, sinks, etc., as well as indoor-outdoor spaces and the stacked stone and the incredible mill/wood work that can be found throughout the rustic design. Taking advantage of the three levels of access to the mountain views, we were able to extend the living space to the outer decks to expand the real square footage of the home; including adding an outdoor hot tub. Keeping the budget at the forefront of the process, we were able to deliver this project on-time and on-budget garnering a variety of positive reviews in the process.

Coastal Lake Home

Nestled in a unique, upscale lake town in Northern Michigan, Grace Amazing is just steps away from Lake Michigan and the charming hamlet of Glen Arbor, MI. This 3,000+ square foot 4-bedroom, 4-bath home offered the Me and My House Team some design challenges that could only be described as “Pure Michigan”. Leveraging a pallet inspired by the crystal clear waters of Lake Michigan and the nearby Big and Small Glen Lakes, our Team built-upon the tranquil blue countertops to Inspire a nautical theme throughout the property while allowing the Lord to bring the “outside-in” via multiple outdoor porches, the surrounding trees and stunning landscape, and the variety of Midwesterners that frequent the area each year. Using coastal vibes, we built each room with a theme of not just around Glen Arbor and the nearby Sleeping Bear Dunes (named by “Good Morning America” as one of the most beautiful spots in America), but also the variety of other places to stop and see along Michigan’s M-22 Scenic Highway. By maximizing the theme along with the ability to host as many Family and Friends as possible, we were able to address the needs of our Clients while offering a playful way to enjoy each space (with sub-themes for every room). Anchored by the lake and the Lord, Grace Amazing was also a blank canvas for our Design Team that afforded us the opportunity to work with our Clients to create an overall space built-upon individual spaces that provide Family and Friends an overly-romantic way to enjoy their time there – whether climbing the dunes, walking the miles of shoreline, sightseeing around the Leelanau Peninsula, watching the sunset each night, riding bikes on the Leelanau Trail, sipping wine at one of over 30 nearby wineries, or just letting time pass you by while rocking on the front porch.

Neo-Traditional Classic

Located amongst meandering sidewalk-lined streets in a traditional yet modern, neo-traditional setting in Atlanta, GA, The Castle lives-up to its name with over 4,000 square feet of living space on a wooded walk-out setting with 6-bedrooms and 5-bathrooms. Spanning three levels of living space, the design challenge here was to take a “builder’s-grade, spec” home and create an updated, cohesive space that drove intimacy while taking full-advantage of every square inch of living space. Hosting a Family of five with frequent out of town visitors, our Clients wanted a space that welcomed folks in a Spirit of Love while making them feel at home and comfortable. By employing simple yet sophisticated design spaces emanating from a common design-denominator of “warmth”, we were able to take this from a monochromatic specimen into a layered-design by updating flooring, wall and cabinet colors, fixtures, textiles (both on the walls and in/on the furniture), and appliances to create a stunning showcase that continues to distinguish itself in the downtown Crabapple setting in Milton, GA. Just a short walk from shops, restaurants, city hall, Churches, a state of the art public library, and top national schools, The Castle is a one-of-a-kind home in a one-of-a-kind area.

Let’s build something together.
